Warning: The following procedure destroys all current KMIP user accounts, KMIP objects and client certificates, including any encryption keys that may be stored in the KMIP vault. This operation is not reversible.
Before You Begin
- If this KMIP vault is used as a KMS server for vSphere Key Management Server, make sure that you decrypt all workloads whose keys are stored in the KMIP server. Those keys will be destroyed when the KMIP server is reset. For more information, the Entrust Cryptographic Security Platform Vault with VMware VSAN and vSphere VM Encryption guide.
- If this KMIP vault is used as an External Key Server for one or more Cryptographic Security Platform Vault clusters, download the Admin keys for those clusters in case you need to restore those clusters. All objects, including Cryptographic Security Platform Vault Admin keys, will be destroyed when you reset the server.
Procedure
Log in to the Cryptographic Security Platform Vault for KMIP webGUI.
Click the gear icon on the right top corner to view Settings.
On the Settings page, click Advanced.
Click Reset.
