See below for configuring a cryptographic provider on the EDB PostgreSQL server.

You must have created a database connector and an access connector before you can configure the cryptographic provider.

To configure a cryptographic provider

  1. In your EDB PostgreSQL Server VM, navigate to the directory where you installed the Policy Agent.

  2. Create the following configuration file: 

    opt/hcs/etc/edb-psql.conf

  3. In this file, paste the text from the Access Token (Identity and Secret). The file should be in JSON format similar to the following: 

    {
    "identity" : "postgres_connector",
    "secret" : "S3XsZJe/EPNVf2D/YufOUS2HuOsLfKJBKjp3Zx...CExetFk="
    }

    Alternatively, you can directly provide the copied Access Token to the open_session() function.
